G-AGIW - Donald Robertson

Dec, Jan, Feb, Mar Updates

This update has been a long time coming, four months to be exact. In that time there have been a number of great posts on the Facebook Group and a few things going on around Sumburgh Airport.

As part of the £6.5 million renovations Wilsness Terminal has received a lick of paint brightening up the exterior.
We have a new country registration with a Guernsey registration 2-GOLF being photographed by Ryan Mullay. We also have a new record for the oldest aircraft on the archives with G-ACDM being added by John R Brown. G-ACDM was built around 1933 which beats the previous oldest aircraft (G-AHBM by Ronnie Robertson) by 2 years.

It was sad news all round in March when it was heard that EI-ICR (Rescue 119) had been lost at sea resulting in the loss of life of all on board. This aircraft was previously registered as G-GCOC and served as Oscar Charlie at Sumburgh for 6 years.
