Gama Aviation were founded in 1983 and offer executive air charters and aircraft management services.
Since April 2006 Gama Aviation have been regularly seen at Sumburgh operating for the Scottish Air Ambulance under a government contract.
The Beechcraft King Airs were purpose built for the service and replaced the Britten-Norman Islanders previously used by Loganair. As part of the service Gama also operate two EC-135 helicopters which are sub-contracted to Babcock Mission Critical Services.
